Agreement In Slovene

The Brioni Agreement (Croatian: Brijunska deklaracija, Serbian: Brionska deklaracija, Slovenian: Brionska deklaracija) is a document signed on 7 July 1991 by representatives of Slovenia, Croatia and Yugoslavia, under the political aegis of the European Community (EC) on the Brijuni Islands. The agreement aimed to create an environment conducive to the continuation of negotiations on the future of Yugoslavia. But he ultimately isolated Federal Prime Minister Ante Marković in his efforts to maintain Yugoslavia and effectively put an end to any form of federal influence over Slovenia. This means that the Yugoslav People`s Army (JNA) would focus on the struggle in Croatia, set a precedent for the entrenchment of international borders and delineate the EC`s interest in resolving the Yugoslav crisis.
