It was a flash back to my youth with the arena rock show that I photographed recently at the ShoWare Center in Kent, as Styx, REO Speedwagon and .38 Special made their way to the Northwest. The heyday of these bands has definitely passed, but the enthusastic fans didn’t seem to mind.

Not all of the original members were with the bands, but they sounded good and it brought back a lot of memories. I was shooting for former Seattle Post-Intelligencer music critic Gene Stout and his new website. Check out his review of the show on his blog. –Scott Eklund
