Kate and Dan are one of those smart, radiant, affectionate couples that inspires you about the whole marrying your soulmate thing (if you’re a youngish person) or makes you nostalgic about young love (if you’re a little less youngish like me). They are super cute. We took their engagement pictures at the University of Washington campus in Seattle, where they first met and Dan had proposed. Being springtime, the cherry trees were in full bloom, adding a bit of soft, pretty romance to the photos. And the school’s classic architecture-with its sweeping arches and columns-added some nice visual drama. I can’t wait for their wedding next month at the Georgetown Studios. – Dan DeLong
