Costco Connection cover shoot
Like a lot of people, I’m a big Costco fan, so it was a real treat to photograph the cover of April’s Costco Connection, the company’s lifestyle magazine. The shoot was loads of fun, largely because Doug Scott and his crew were such gracious hosts and easy-going, patient subjects. A portrait of Scott, the manager of […]
Beacon Hill Engagement | Tara + Rob
We started Tara and Rob’s engagement session at their very cool, 1920’s Beacon Hill home where a friend’s piano, some soft window light and the couple’s spark combined to make my job a cinch. Then at Dr. Jose Rizal Park we found a hillside of daffodils in full bloom, a wooded hideaway and a screaming […]
Andrea + Bill’s Party
Andrea and Bill celebrated their wedding with a joyous party packed with dancing, dinner, toasts and 400 of their closest friends and family. They are a fantastic couple who made it really easy for me – they picked a beautiful venue, threw a terrific reception, and were completely comfortable in front of the camera (and with each other). We started with the sweet moment of […]
A pair of tributes
Chronicling the Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s final days as a newspaper

newsroom I once loved, but I’ll always be glad I got to spend time with
my co-workers, as they valiantly put out the P-I’s last printed editions
under enormous strain.
